Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Wekiwu LLC, trading as AxisGlam ("we", "us", "our"), collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website, software, and services (the "Service"). Wekiwu LLC is the data controller responsible for your personal information. We handle your information in accordance with applicable data-protection laws, including the GDPR (EU/UK) and CCPA/CPRA (California).

1. Information We Collect

2. How We Use Your Information

3. Legal Basis for Processing (EU/UK Users)

Where GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases: (a) performance of a contract — to fulfill purchases and provide licensed software; (b) legitimate interests — to secure the Service, prevent fraud, and enforce license terms; (c) consent — for any optional features you opt into, including machine identification reports, machine setup reports and shared test cards; and (d) legal obligation — where we must retain records for tax or compliance purposes.

4. Third-Party Services and Subprocessors

5. Machine Identification Reports

AxisGlam talks to laser cutters, CNC machines, and 3D printers made by hundreds of different manufacturers. When you connect one, the app asks it a series of standard, read-only questions — the equivalent of “what are you?” — and uses the answers to configure itself. None of those questions can move an axis or switch on a beam.

Occasionally a machine answers none of them. When that happens the app can offer to send us what it observed, so that a future release can support that machine. We ask because there is no other way for us to add support for hardware we do not own.

What we do:

What we do not do: we do not include your designs, your files, your file names, your location, or anything identifying you; we do not send reports in the background; we do not use them for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than adding machine support; and we do not sell or share them.

Because a report is stripped of identifying information before it leaves your computer, we generally cannot link one back to you in order to delete it individually. If you would prefer never to be asked, the feature can be switched off permanently in the application’s settings.

6. Machine Setup Reports and Shared Test Cards

Both are optional, sent only when you choose to, one at a time, and shown to you in full before anything leaves your computer.

A machine setup report describes a machine that guided setup has finished working out. It contains: the kind of controller and the firmware’s own identification text; the machine’s own model name if it reports one; its USB vendor and product identifiers; the firmware settings it reported (for example travel limits, speeds and acceleration); the facts the app worked out about it (for example bed size, which way each axis moves, and whether it has limit switches), each with how it was known; whether connecting, homing, framing and a job worked; any notes you typed into the report box; the application version; and your operating system’s name. We use it to add the machine to the catalog the app checks, so the next owner of the same machine does not have to set it up by hand. It is not linked to your email address, licence or account.

A shared test card is a photo of a material test card you burned, with: the material, each square’s power and speed, the square you chose and the colours read from the photo, the application version, and a description of your machine — the kind of controller, the firmware’s own identification text, the machine’s own model name if it reports one, its USB vendor and product identifiers, the firmware settings it reported and the facts the app worked out about it. Before you can send one you confirm two things: that you want to share it, and that you took the photo, and once it is approved AxisGlam may show it and its settings publicly until you withdraw it. You keep your copyright, and withdrawing ends that permission (see our Terms). The app sends only the test card itself: it finds the card’s corner marks and crops the photo to the card, so the room, the bench and anyone in them are not sent. The photo is re-encoded on your computer, and the camera and location data that phones and cameras write into photos are removed again on our server.

Review and publication. Every shared test card is reviewed by AxisGlam before anyone else can see it. Once approved, it is public: anyone can retrieve it from AxisGlam (it is not behind a login), and the application offers it to people whose machines identify themselves the same way as yours (the same firmware family, and the same model name or USB identifiers where their machine reports them), together with the description of your machine above. It is never shown with your name, your email address, the name you gave your machine, or any network address.

Changing your mind. From the application you can replace your shared photo (it is reviewed again) or withdraw the card at any time; withdrawing deletes the photo from our server. Anyone who sees a shared card can report it, or say it is their photo; either hides the card at once until it is reviewed. We delete the photo whenever a card is rejected, taken down or withdrawn, and keep a record of each decision and its reason. Because shared cards are not linked to an account, to have one removed without the application, email support@axisglam.com with the material and the date you shared it; for photos that are yours but were shared by someone else, see our DMCA page or use “This is my photo” in the application.

What we do not do: we do not send either kind of report in the background; we do not include your designs, files or file names; we do not use them for advertising or profiling; and we do not sell them.

7. Cookies & Local Storage

The AxisGlam website uses only minimal session state (e.g., filter preferences stored in-memory per page load). We do not use persistent tracking cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party analytics at this time.

8. International Data Transfers

Our service providers may process data in the United States and other jurisdictions. Where personal data is transferred out of the EU/UK, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards offered by each subprocessor.

9. Data Retention

Purchase and license records (email, license key, device associations) are kept as long as needed to honor your ownership rights, enforce license terms, handle support inquiries, and meet legal-retention requirements. Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security purposes. Machine identification reports (Section 5) and machine setup reports (Section 6) carry no link to you or your account and are kept as technical reference data for as long as the machine they describe is in use in the world. A shared test card’s photo is kept while the card is shared and deleted when it is rejected, taken down or withdrawn; the record of review decisions is kept so we can answer questions about them. You may request deletion of your data at any time; note that deleting purchase records will remove your ability to reinstall purchased assets or re-activate licenses.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) additionally have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete, the right to correct, and the right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@axisglam.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

11. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below these ages.

12. Security

License-server communication uses TLS with certificate pinning and HMAC signature verification on server responses. We rely on industry-standard security controls at our subprocessors. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will note the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
